Area Attractions

Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway
A stunning 19-mile drive through a limestone canyon with waterfalls, cliffs, and forested hiking trails. It's especially beautiful in the fall.

Bridal Veil Falls
Easily visible from the Spearfish Canyon road, this 60-foot waterfall has a viewing platform and is a great photo spot.

Roughlock Falls Nature Area
Just off Spearfish Canyon, Roughlock Falls offers peaceful walking trails, picnic areas, and scenic views of cascading waters.

D.C. Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery
One of the oldest operating fish hatcheries in the country. It has a museum, viewing areas, and family-friendly grounds to explore.

Spearfish Rec & Aquatics Center
A local favorite for families, this indoor/outdoor facility offers water slides, pools, and fitness opportunities.

Devils Tower National Monument
An iconic geological formation and sacred Native American site in northeastern Wyoming. Great for hiking, stargazing, climbing (with permits), and wildlife viewing. It’s an easy day trip from Spearfish and well worth the drive. (Approx. 60 miles west of Spearfish)
