Blairsville Scottish Festival & Highland Games
A lively early-June celebration of Scottish heritage fills the North Georgia mountains. The event features caber toss, hammer throw, and other traditional athletics. Meanwhile, bagpipers, highland dancers, and local vendors add music, food, and crafts.
Blairsville Sorghum Festival
Held each October, this beloved mountain-town tradition celebrates heritage sorghum production. It includes a parade, log sawing, and greased-pole climbing. Additionally, visitors enjoy live music, arts and crafts booths, and an old-fashioned square dance.
Butternut Creek Festival
This family-friendly summer event takes place in July at Meeks Park. It features juried fine crafts, live music, and artisan demonstrations. As a result, visitors from across the region gather for art, food, and outdoor fun.
