Rock the South Musical Event
This is Cullman’s largest music festival and perhaps the biggest party
in the
South. Every July, it brings top-tier country and Southern artists to town and draws huge
crowds.
Cullman Alabama Strawberry Festival
Dating back to the 1930s, this beloved festival not only celebrates
delicious
strawberries but is also Alabama’s official state strawberry festival. It’s held annually in
downtown
Cullman (Depot Park), usually in late April, and features live music, over 80 vendors, family
fun, and local
charm.
Smith Lake Park Sweet Tater Festival
This one-of-a-kind local festival celebrates the sweet potato with two
days of
southern hospitality. Scheduled for Labor Day weekend at Smith Lake Park, this event features
live

Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament & St. Bernard Abbey
Just outside Cullman in Hanceville, the Shrine is a peaceful
Romanesque–Gothic complex, home to a monastery of Discalced Carmelite nuns, a castle-like
church, and one
of the largest religious gift shops in the South. It’s open to visitors of all faiths and
beautifully
serene.
