Area Events

Alamo Watermelon Festival & BBQ Cook Off

This family-friendly festival features free watermelon slices, a kids' carnival with rides, a BBQ cook-off, various vendors, a beer garden, and live music performances. Highlights include the Watermelon Eating Contest and Seed Spitting Challenge. Entry is free before 5 p.m. and $5 after 5 p.m. 

Armed Forces Festival

This event honors military service members and features live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activities. It's an opportunity for the community to show appreciation for the armed forces. 

4th of July Freedom Bash

A patriotic celebration featuring fireworks, live music, food vendors, and activities for all ages to commemorate Independence Day.

Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge
